Try it out, or Plain Jane, and I think Contour. The skin changes for this release were made weeks ago.

Best regards,
David

You know, I think I just might - with everything uninstalled and a 'fresh sheet' now's the time, yeh? I've always liked (and used) the BlueMCE, but even I'm getting bored of it now....

Incidentally, (and slightly on-post) if anyone has problems uploading the gbmvp.bin to their MVP, I have had to use a tftp app to upload it - I have a sneaking suspicion it's to do with linksys routers and the way the MVP handshakes, but I'm not sure. If you have this problem (MVP sits at 'loading application' forever) a quick search of the forums will help.

sub Wrote:If anyone is wondering about the version number being listed twice in the 'system' screen, it was just a mistake. I forgot to go back and finish the screen. I intended to show some other information, but hadnt decided what exactly.

Skin designers can feel free to remove the repeated version number...

how about once a day, when the EPG updates check gbpvr.com for the latest version available so it can display the current version you are using and the latest version. could be handy and help full up the empty screen Smile

i've been trying to install 0.96.8 this evening, but keep running into the same problem... the install program freezes once it gets to the point where the program should be "updating system." has anyone else experienced this problem?

You have stopped the recording service, haven't you?

Yeah, thats quite likely. The MVP screen position settings are now stored in a different place in the config.xml. The author will need to update it.

Sure, just look in config.xml at the <MVPSpecificSettings> section. Edit this file with notepad.exe, and make a backup of this file before you make any changes.

I like the medium sized inset and the little bitty bottom-left video features, but...

How in the world do I stop the small one once it gets going? Shouldn't it stop on its own once you select another video source? Can't figure it out, thanks!

Love some of the new features in this Sub, skin is a nice improvement too!

Yes it should, but someone pointed out a problem with starting a video then starting a second video (first one didnt stop). The same thing doesnt occur with live tv. I'll correct this for the next release. For now you just need to remember to switch the video back to full screen and stop it...or disable the video inset by setting <UseVideoInset>false</UseVideoInset> in config.xml.
