When I watch live TV, then use the "Live TV Catchup", I get the Object reference error:

"Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

S.
Reproduce it, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

I cant really think of anything much thats changed when you use dongle.bin. If you're said gbmvp.bin, then I wouldnt have been surprised.

I've changed the parameters in config.xml to try to get the screen position coming from the MVP to align better to the sides of my television. I've manually changed the MAC address in config.xml, and changed the settings in both the default and MAC specific sections to make sure. I've also made sure that all of the settings are multiples of 4. I'm using S-video, so I changed that setting too. My problem is this: regardless of how egregious of a change I make to the settings, the screen position on my TV never changes at all. I could make the settings 400x220 and it will stay in the same place and stay the same size. Any ideas why? Thanks to all of you for your help, and especially to Sub for a great program that makes the MVP worth owning.

zip and attach your config.xml and I'll see if I can see the problem.

Never mind. I kept restarting Config, but not the MVP server. I may be wrong or had something set up weird, but on earlier versions I got GBPVR to work on my MVP without having the MVP server window open, but on this version I have to have the window open for the MVP to work. So, consequently, I never thought to restart that to get the settings to take effect. Sorry for the false alarm.

I had a look and it seems to be a problem with timeshifting on a channel change. My gbpvr.exe log is full of these entries:

2/22/2006 4:31:22 PM.078 VERBOSE [17] waiting for livetv data! File size is: 0
2/22/2006 4:31:22 PM.187 VERBOSE [17] waiting for livetv data! File size is: 0
2/22/2006 4:31:22 PM.281 VERBOSE [17] waiting for livetv data! File size is: 0

So it's not starting the file when the channel changes. I have to come out of live tv, back to the menu, then start live tv again (which is then on the requested channel).

Unless you have any pointers that I could look for/ try, I think I'm gonna have to go back to the last release. Sad

Anyone in the US try this new version with the Dvico Fusion 5 USB tuner? Please share any experiences. I'm going to wait for a few days to see if anyone has had success with live tv. Thanks
