Bug with two records play: one as insert and main one.

1) I've started play from recorded show
2) Toggle it as "insert"
3) Started another recorded show

It's a funny thing: I have two Smile
But the bad thing I'm loosing control for the first show: I can not stop it
even after stopping the second one. The only thing is to exit GBPVR.

Fatal Exception happens right after BLUE skin menu comes up and I click with mouse or remote on any menu button in GBPVR. (Wave file plays here for CLICK sound maybe ? and causing it ?)

I recieved that error on a "Upgrade" method. The error did not occur for me when I then did a clean install. I did re-download the installation program in case the download was corrupted as well. I shot from point A to point C and should have tried an install with the original download to prove it. (Note to self for future debug attempts.)

Sorry I am not giving you any help here, but I thought it was odd that I was able to "Fix" my problem with a clean install.

I tried out the custom VMR9 renderer, but was getting really bad video-audio sync issues very quickly. Switched back to the regular VMR9 renderer and everything's fine.

Probably it's not release issue...but I believe it was working earlier.

DVD OSD is shown but do nothing when I'm trying click on it.
Is is dependent on renderer/decoder?

i'm thinking of trying the upgrade this weekend, but i don't want to get into the position where my box becomes unusable for any period of time.

in short, what's the best way of backing things up before the upgrade to make the restore process as easy as possible? can i just zip up the gbpvr directory (having stopped the recording service etc) and then just restore the directory from the zip file if necessary, or does the upgrade make changes to other things e.g. the registry?

cheers

Quote:Don't wether this is a bug or a feature.
In the config I choose my language (Dutch), I guess that put the right language.xml in the gbpvr-dir. I make a few adjustments to language.xml, everything works fine!
But when I open config to make other changes and I click OK to save the changes and restart recording service, the original language.xml is put back, overwriting the new one. I made language.xml readonly that seems to do the trick.
Is it meant to be like this?
Btw, upgrading went fine!!!
Yes, that is what I'd expect to happen. Change the original file in the language directory instead, or better still also update the master spreadsheet from the 'community announcements' forum so other users can also benefit from the changes.

This as been pointed out a few times, and is fixed for the next release.

One user was having this. I took a look at his data to determine what exactly was occuring. Here is what I found for him:

sub Wrote:The problem seems to be occurring because there are season recordings in
your database that refer to programmes that are not in your database. For
example, you have a recording a season recording for "Hells Kitchen USA".
Usually this would have a record in the RECORDING_SCHEDULE table, and
recording in the PROGRAMME table. You only have the record in the
RECORDING_SCHEDULE table.

Can you think of anything you've done that would have caused this? Have you ever manually remove programmes before?
