If you have any feedback relating to GBMVP.BIN dongle, post it here. I'll try to work through as much as I can.

Oh, and no feedback means everything is fine...

MVP crashes unless I use a direct function from the main menu - i.e. if I use sub-menus it crashes when I select the sub-menu.

I was trying to work out why I was having no joy and others seemed just fine - I tend to group my stuff into sub menus to keep it tidy.

On this topic, and sorry for the aside, is it the skin which dictates the function of the Escape or Exit key? Because if I exit from an application entered from a sub-menu I get thrown back to the main menu and not the calling menu.

Oh, and what's the root password? Smile

mpeg-I've added the 'Disable TaskOffload' tweak to my registry and have seen some improvement. However, even with the dongle set to the regular setting (dongle) I still see some of this effect. Oddly, it's worth when using the 'Recording' setting to display which files to play. If I use Video Library, I seem to get a bit smoother performance.
I'm using the Blue skin.
I'm going to keep playing with this trying different files dv-avi & Divx and see what happens. These mpeg play fine on my computer they were captured with.

Can you reproduce the error, then zip and attach your logs?

Are you running the new v0.96.12 release?

Yeah, I'm aware of this. Its pretty much always been like this. Historic reasons...may change in a future release. Not a skin thing.

Not a wireless MVP (is that out yet?) but I do have a wireless router.

I've not had a lot of time to play with it, but from what I've seen so far, it's definitely improved over the previous version.

My biggest issue is what I believe to be timeouts or reboots (not sure which it is). It seems to play, pause, and skip through a recording fine. But when I tried stopping the recording, the MVP went into the 4-box reconnect screen. When I tried LiveTv, it did the same thing as soon as I tried switching channels. Has anybody else been having these kind of problems?

I've noticed that a couple of people have cleared up problems by simply powercycling their MVP again; so I'll give that a try tonight.

Btw; congrats on the excellent releases; both 0.96.12 and 2.0!

Its actually a small linux image that the MVP downloads and runs when the MVP first powers up. After the MVP has booted the linux image, it starts running the client software on the MVP.
