Anywho.... the logs show the VA panel having some problem. I suggest you try disabling this plugin and see if the problem goes away.

The log shows that you are using Blue MPV as your MVP skin. Do you have the va panel skin files in your Blue MPV skin? You should look in the panels sub directory and make sure that you have a VAPanel.xml skin file. If you do, can you post it here for me to take a look at?

Thanks

Jeff

Quote:That's the weird thing, I don't have it enabled! I just double checked in the config app and My Pictures is definitely unchecked. It doesn't appear on the main menu of GB-PVR when I boot up my MVP either. I tried enabling the My Pictures plugin in config, saving and then disabling it again, in case it was 'stuck' on but its still the same. Isn't that a bit strange
Try deleting the MyPictures.dll from the plugins directory.

Yeah OK, that did the trick, cheers. Not that it matters a huge deal but how was the MyPictures plugin getting to run when it was supposed to be off?

That check box is actually for determining if a main menu button is visible. Plugins are still loaded with that check mark removed, so that can processes events etc, which is what MyPictures is trying to do, but encountering an error.

JesperTheViking, I see you logs refer to a "ASUS MyCinema 7131 Dual", which I dont have listed in my BDA.ini. Did you add this card manually yourself in the past? If so, you'll probably find the file was replaced during the upgrade. The only files retained during the upgrade are config.xml and GBPVR.mdb.

Hi Jeff,
Yea, I was a little sleepy after fixing my network mapping problem, and forgot that I’ve been trying to read without posting because I am using a modified skin, dongle and VAPanel.xml with my MVP.
I hadn’t even looked at the log files for this problem until I had already posted them. I bet the mpv reboot issue I’ve had at times is completely self-inflicted.

I combined some elements I liked from ContourHC (the bright white text blooms on my mpv) into v95.16 Blue, then modified a couple of the skin.xml files, and the VAPanel.xml.
I added sleeping & recording graphics, and remaining diskspace to the VAPanel background so they would display on the main menu and the screen saver,
The mods worked ok “for me” with 95.16, but I bet they have some hidden problems that didn’t show with the limited number of things I display in the panel.

Anyway I’ve attached the VAPanel.xml and the graphic’s I’m using, but I do understand this is something I need to figure out.
Please don’t spend a bunch of time on this, but if you see an obvious problem that would be great!
The CheckSpace update (the second attachment if your really bored!)overwrites VAPanel.xml after each recording using a script called from postprocessing.bat. But my mvp reboot problems didn’t happen with v95.16 and are happening in the middle of a recording when nothing is being updated, so I’m keeping my hopes up that it will still work.

It’s funny how hard it is to give up some little changes like this after you make them! Wink
Wish I knew more about skinning and how the VA Panel works, but that could take years…

Quote:- Fixed a bug which could cause the mouse clicks to not register on OSD buttons.

Does this refer to the issues I had mention with Girder not being able to 'click' the new system button?

If so then unfortunately it hasn't made a difference (ie. non post processing still causes gb-pvr to crash)

:o Yes, I have. I am sorry to have waisted your time on this one. I have corrected my BDA.INI and now it works again.

Thank you Sub.

Hey everything appears to be working fine now, even with the plugins enabled it hasn’t rebooted during the last couple of shows. It must have been a slightly corrupted mpv software load after trying out the new proto dongle. Cycling the mpv again seems to have done the trick.
Thanks
Jim
