I do not have a remote and I am getting sick of using a mouse. I was looking at the MCE2005 remote, but I am using windows xp and would like to know if it will work. If you know of better remotes i would love to know about them. Thanks

Provided you have SP2 in Xp then the MCE2005 will just plug in and work. Smile

I found that if you have WinXP Home w/SP2 the drivers are not present. I was able to get it working by copying the two files needed from my WinXP PRO computer. It says its not a signed driver but it still works.

The files you need to copy are "irbus.sys" and "irbus.ini".

Where did you order the MCE2005 remote from? I want to get one but they seemed to be over my budget.

I was happy with my mouse except for when I went into a window I could not get out of, listings, for example. I got my remote "new" off of ebay for a total of $42. Before I got that remote I thought the mouse was fine, but now it is so nice I do not know how I used gbpvr without one. http://www.pcalchemy.com has them for about the same price.
