Today my second installation on a more modern computer was a real festival. GBPVR works wonderful with a good cpu, 1 GB memory and a good graphic card (just without a fan). My first effort was using a little VIA motherboard and S3 video on board. Then, the program was really sluggish. Especially with live TV.
A reasonaly good computer does not empty the wallet anymore. I never want to waste more time with old or inadequate hardware.

It generally works well with any CPU made in the last few years...except those Via Mini-ITX boards - they are incredibly slow. It seemed pretty snappy on the PIII 1Ghz I tried it on.

Pentium III 550 MHz with 256 MB was not good enough for me.
I'm not a speed freak, but does not like wintersleeps in front of a computer or tv.

Yeah, I'm not surprised. That CPU is about 7 or 8 years old now, so not a modern CPU by any stretch of the imagination.

A PIII 1GHz or newer should be OK, and what I recommend as a minimum CPU.
