I built a PVR about 6 months ago (GBPVR) and it has completely altered the way we watch TV, 1000% for the better. Never going back.
My next idea is that I want to record audio shows off the internet with the same ease of use. The plan is to select a few shows from an EPG, have them downloaded at whatever time they are on, copy them to my ipod and listen to them on the way to work.
The programs I am particularly interested in are on BBC Radio 4 from http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/schedule/. They have a few mp3 downloads of channels, but not the ones I want. The streaming signal can be played by RealPlayer.
Ideally this should not interfere with recording or playback of TV on the PVR - I guess I might need to install a second sound card then.
Does anyone have any existing solution to this? ideally a plug-in to GBPVR would be best, but other solutions are gladly accepted!
