Jeff,
I can't get Video Archive to show up on the menu on a PC. I installed it, looked at it and found it interesting. After noodling around wiki, I faoun and installed xrecord also. I turned off VA from config in case they conflicted. From that point forward I was unable to make it appear on the menu again.

I removed and reinstalled VA with no joy. I wanted to uninstall xrecord, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that. I then completely removed gbpvr and va (including manual deletion of remaining detritus), new install of gbpvr, restore config.cml & gbpvr.mdb, installed va.

In the config app, it IS above exit and IS enabled. I'm using the default skin (blue) and 94.13 gbpvr. I copied vapanel.xml from \gbpvr\skin\blue\panels to \gbpvr as you mentioned in another post.

Any ideas?
Thanks,
Panagiotis

Look in the gbpvr.exe.log file. If the plug-in is not showing up in the menu it is failing to load and gbpvr will log an error to say why. The two thoughs that come to mind are a problem with the skin file or a missing dll. If it shows up on the list in the config app but not in gbpvr itslef I'd say a problem with the skin is the most likely cause. have you tried using the blue skin to see if it come up there.

It shows up in log (adding task). I am already using the blue skin. I'm attaching the log file in case I'm looking at the wrong thing (remove .txt extension - sorry don't have zip on this machine). What I found was about 80% down.

How would I know if there is a problem with the skin or a missing dll (log message to look for?)?

Thanks for your help

From this it looks like it is adding okay as a button named videos. If zip ip your config.xml file and the log files in the jeff directory maybe they will show something.

Thanks for all the help Jeff. After I spent some time better understanding the way GBPVR handled schedules (RTFM), turns out things like VA aren't really needed. It is nice to have a program author available and responsive for help.
