If you have XRecord already, then you should have the following files too:

1. PostUpdateEPG.bat - this should contain a PriorityRecording.exe entry in it that looks like: priorityrecording.exe %1 > record.log

2. PriorityRecording.xml - This contains all the programs that are to be scheduled. This is created using the Scheduler option from within XRecord, or it can be created manually if you want to edit the xml file directly.

3. RecTracker.dll - used to for determining if duplicates are scheduled or not.

4. RecordingUtils.dll - the main helper DLL tha that is used in Scheduling the programs.

Create your entries using the Scheduler option in XRecord. Once that is done, you can either run the Scheduler directly from XRecord or wait until after your Episode Guide updates during the night, and the PostUpdateEPG.bat will run after this update is complete and schedule the program entries that are in the PriorityRecording.xml file.

In the Scheduler screen, items that appear at the top of the list have greater precendence than items that appear farther down in the list. The top most item has the highest priority when it comes to scheduling.

That is the basics, you have pretty much all the features of the built in scheduler, plus several advanced features in allowing you to help control exactly when your programs are scheduled (i.e. day of week, suspension of scheduling, time range, date and time range, channel restriction, keyword search scheduling (title, sub title, description)).

I really don't use the Scheduler portion of XRecord, from what I remember you should be able to select the "New Entry" selection and it will bring up your options. You can also use XGuide and XSearch to schedule programs using the Advanced option and it will schedule the programs with the Scheduler and set them up for use with CDK Scheduler.

GBPVR does not download shows but it records them when broadcasted.
YOu need the EPG data to know when.
P4 3GHz 1GB, 250GB, nVidia dualTV, GBPVR 1.3.11, XP

Once the shows are setup...nothing will be scheduled until the after the Episode Guide is updated and the PostUpdateEPG.bat file is run. You can manually runt he PostUpdateEPG.bat file if necessary yourself by using Windows Explorer and navigating to were you installed GBPVR. Double click the PostUpdateEpg.bat file and you should get an output file called record.log. You can view that file to see what was scheduled, or you can now go into XRecord and the shows will show up in the Pending option.
