Recur vs Reoccur

Some time ago, I got an email explaining these words for me, I found it again today and thought I throw it in here.

As Victor Borge put it: " it's your language, - I'm only trying to use it!"

An event that happens again and again is a "recurring" event, not a "reoccuring" event. Reoccur means that the event will happen only one more time. Recur means the event will happen again and again.
