OK, I'm about to uninstall this stupid program and use a commercial one. This is the FIFTH time this has happened. If I close the gbpvr application, and then restart it, the database gets OVERWRITTEN, and all the recorded shows are no longer recognized, and the channel info is GONE!!
If I restore the dbase, the channels are back, but the backup mdb is older than some recordings, so the thing says that the newer recordings have FAILED. The same thing happens if I simply go into the config settings and manually update the channel listings.

COME ON!

OK, fair enough. Good luck with whichever commercial one you end up buying.

I agree. Word to the wise, you might not get as good support with whatever commercial software you even up going with as you do here though. Good luck to ya.

REEEEAAAL nice replies there. RUDE? WHAT? Gimme a break. I mean, what would you do if this was happening to you? Did I insult anyone? NO
I just express my frustration and say the program sucks. Well, I guess that's your mentallity then, to flip everything around and call me rude. Give me a break.

Well, thanks for the non support people. Good luck to others who try to use this program, you'll need it. Good luck to you if you have 30 recordings set up for the future, and then GBPVR just decides to erase them all. Good luck if you need support. Good luck to the developer(s) if you try to actually sell this buggy software.
So I say GOOD DAY!

Yes, Layoric, your initial message was rude. Why would you think calling GBPVR a "stupid program" wouldn't be considered rude?

As for GBPVR support, since you are new to the forum (and the software), you may not realize it but the developer of GBPVR, aka "Sub", responded to your message just 11 minutes after you posted it. Yes, THE developer responded to your message that quick! Had you been less rude and not used the rather empty threat of buying a commercial app, I am sure that Sub would have done the usual in going above and beyond to help you with your problem.

In turn, I wish YOU good luck with getting that kind of support (and a response that quick) from the development TEAM of a commercial app. Even with all the luck in the world, you're not going to get that kind of support response from any of the available commercial apps.

Do yourself a favor -- cool off for a couple of days, create yourself a new username on the forum, phrase your question with better tone, a more humble stance, and without any empty threats, and you will be a much happier person for continuing to use GBPVR over a commercial app. Even if we recognize the problem and suspect it's you, we won't make you eat crow or anything. Sub, you really need to work on your response times to the general complaints about GBPVR. Eleven minutes is just simply unacceptable from a customer support perspective. Oh, and would you please fix your "stupid program" so this poor guy will have guaranteed zero problems while using it completely for free?

Thanks!

Really? All of my problems have been the fault of the "stupid program". Couldn't be me...never...naw...nope....
