Hi, is there a way to tell GBRecord to continue recording 24/7 and change the filename it writes to with an adjustable parameter?

If, no, is there any chance this can be incorporated into a future version of this great program?

Regards

It can record 24/7, and it does change the file, but you have no control over the name of that file.

But you can make a fake EPG of 24 hour long programs, with each day a different name, and continuesly feed the EPG new days so GBPVR, ensure there is a seasons recordingactive for that name and GBPVR weel keep recording forever in one file per day.

you could also put in a manual recording using just the time, and at least get controled files and breaks...it may be able to be automatic, if you say it's a manual recording to do daily, from 0000-2400 (I'm assuming you can sched a repeating manual recording)

It changes the file and filename based on listing in the TV guide. The filename will be the show name plus the date/time appended.

Why? What are you trying to do?

I think you might have misunderstood me. I'm trying to use GBRecord.exe to record a TV channel 24 hours a day 7 days a week and I'm wondering if the program has or will have some kind of logic to do this more or less automaticly.

Sorry, I thought you were talking about GB-PVR. We get many GBRecord questions around. Infact, I think this is the first one ever.

No, there is no logic to do this. It's just a simple command line recorder where you tell it the file name and how long to record for. It doesnt know anything about recording to multiple files or anything like that.
