An updated version of the MVP Tray Icon plugin has been posted to the wiki here:
Plugin MVPTrayIcon
When used with GB-PVR v95.11 or newer, the tray icon will now display the "idle" state when an MVP connection is established.

Yes it does, until you play a file (and it says its playing with the file name) then when you stop the file and its back to the menu it says "Not COnnected"??
Many Thanks

Try defining a "label" for your MVP in the config.xml file and see if this improves things (see Wiki).

I just reviewed the code for the "MusicStopping" and "VideoStopping" events and can see how it might display "Not connected" when a label isn't found.

Seems to have fixed it (nice utility that).

While i am here, is there a utility (i guess this will have to work IN GBPVR) that i can set the screen display up with? (one i dont have to guess the numbers, something that interactive)?
Many Thanks
Ashley

If you mean aligning the display on your MVP, then yes, there is a great utility here: MVP Screen Position.

I "believe" that the MVPTrayIcon settings in the config.xml disappeared when I installed the latest version of GBPVR 96.8.

It was not within the

<PluginSettings>
.
</PluginSettings>

section, but resetting it did the trick. I don't use Slimm at the moment so don't know the impact on that.

<PluginSettings>
.
<MVPTrayIcon>
<MAC-000DFEEXXXX>
<MVPName>LivingRoomMVP</MVPName>
</MAC-000DFEEXXXX>
</MVPTrayIcon>
.
</PluginSettings>

Anyone else see this happen or did it disappear BEFORE the update, and I just didn't notice?

Hmm .... I really really like this low-res app but since my GBPVR 96.8 upgrade the MVP Tray icon sometimes doesn't appear to recognise the MVP whereas it always did before.

It always goes blue (idle, must be holding its breath) when I go into config and restart the recording service (provided I am not using the MVP downstairs at the TV).

But sometimes, most notably after using the MVP to view a program, then leaving it on the main screen, it goes red and just stays there. i.e. doesn't seem to know it (the MVP) is there. I checked the wireless status in my Main Router and the MVP seems to be in the Device List, (set it up as STATIC DHCP), so the router seems to recognise it OK.

I must admit I also did a Router Firmware Upgrade (HyperWRT) recently (two WRT54G's AP+WDS/WDS mode) and am wondering if it is just my system changes (i.e. my router/wireless bridge setup) or whether the plugin is missing something, since the GBPVR upgrade. Does anyone else have a similar issue with this plugin?

Do you have a "label" defined for your MVP? Another user reported a problem where the icon would display red after watching something, and I tracked down a problem that doesn't happen if you have a label defined.

What version did you upgrade from? I've been using 0.95.16 and haven't upgraded to the newest version yet.
