With the new version, the video zoom is now working, so I can stretch the display so it is at the proper overscan settings, but it also stretches the OSD & mini-guide to where they are off the screen.

Are there any settings to resize or offset the OSD seperate from the video?

Sorry I don't have the amswer to your problem but I noticed this thread when seaching for "zoom" as I have been trying to figure out how to increase the size of my live tv and (more importantly) my recordings. The zoom feature now fixes these perfectly.

Unfortunately (as you pointed out,) it also zooms the OSD but I have also noticed that it appears to zoom my video files (xvid, divx etc). This is a pain as they were actually being displayed at the right size beforehand so now I am loosing some of the video from around the edges.

Sub. Would it be possible to have seperate zoom settings for tv/recordings, videos and osd??

Other than this relatively small problem, gb-pvr is working really well atm!

I got the OSD working with VMR7 on my Matrox G550, but much of the text appears off screen. Is there an xml file that can be edited to squeeze the text in a little?

You could create you own skin that positions things further from the edge of the screen.

Oh boy. I can barely understand the whole XML thing as it is. I've posted before that XML, to me, seems like a way Microsoft found to make "INI" files MORE confusing!

I'll have to check it out. Thanks!

im fairly sure xml has nothing to do with m$, ini files i think where a m$ invention, but xml files is kind of like a well formatted html file, they are actually really simple, and easy to use. just every node eg "<Node></Node>" must be closed, and they can have attributes eg "<Node attribute="somevalue">nodes value</Node>". thats it, nodes can be embedded eg "<Node><Node></Node></Node>". just try and edit one (just using notepad), make small changes see what happens. nothing to fear, except fear itself, and maybe bunnies.

heh. Except, Microsoft were relatively late to the XML bandwagon.
