help with autoconversion and renamerecording

Ok first let me say thx guys been really enjoying this program and all the goodies that come with it.

So far I can get comskip, and comclean working fine. Then I get recordrename to work fine. If i have auto conversion to divx set to asap in the configure option in gb-pvr, it will work fine, however it interupts recordrename from being able to work because file is already in use. So I figured ok it should be fine then if I simply use the timer option in the gb-pvr configure setting to do the conversion in the middle of the night, this way it will give recordrename a chance to finish its task. However when I try this the auto conversion never starts, I'm thinking it has to do with the recordrename and the file name not being the same anymore. But with me being a noob here I searchhed the forums to see if i could figure it out but have had no luck.

I dont run renamerecording, and dont really know anything about it, but you should be able to run it in the PostConversion.bat file. This file gets called immediately after the conversion completes.

roger that, I have it running in the postconversion.bat file and it works fine. However, when it comes time to do the conversion to divx its like it doesn't recognize the new file nam so the conversion never even starts. If I take out the renamerecording then the conversion starts just fine. I will run few more tests here if it doesnt work perhaps i'll just not use rename feature..

PostConversion.bat is called *after* it has already been converted to divx. You're sure you are not thinking of PostProcessing.bat?

you know I was confused, so I could perhaps create a postconversion.bat with note pad and in their call for recordrename. I dont have a postconversion.bat at the moment if I did this do I need to tell it to run postconversion.bat or will it know this simply by me creating one. sorry im a nub here lol

Yes, just create it. If it finds this file, it'll run it when the conversion completes.
