I'm starting to think about future support for the new MPEG-4 based DVB is being used in a couple of countries (France is one), and wondered if anyone here is able to supply me a transport stream from one of these broadcasts? If you are in a position to help out, please PM me.

Thanks
sub.

sub.

I'm living in France, using dvb-t with a Pinnacle 200i card. Dont know if any of my programs record directly in transport stream format (most use mp2 system/program).
If i found one, can you tell how many file/size do you need and how to send-it to you ?

Ooops, sorry, you need the M PEG-4 transport stream that is used for crypted DVB-T channels in France?
My card does not support it.

No, its not that simple. I need a proper Transport Stream with PSI information etc. VCL just produces a bare minimum transport stream, which only really contains the video and audio. Its missing all the important stuff.

I dont know what other countries are using this yet, but it will start to become more common in Europe in the future.

You need software that allows you to capture a transport stream. You may be able to capture this with GB-PVR, or using other apps like MyTheatre etc.

I'm in no big hurry for this, but I'm sure someone will pop up eventually, knowing their area uses these MPEG4 transmissions, and with the technical know-how to get me what I need.

DirecTV in the USA is broadcasting MPEG-4 streams for local channels. I think there are 7 or 8 markets they are starting with. Detroit strikes me as one. Though, I don't know that you can get to the raw stream, as it is encrypted.

Norway will start using MPEG4 only for all DVB-T transmissions, when they eventually get their act together and launch the DVB-T network (which currently is estimated to sometime around 2007-2008 )
