how can I extract the audio from a DVD

I have ripped a DVD to its vob files on my hard disk.

I now want to extract the audio from this to burn to normal audio CD.

Can anyone explain what tools are needed and how to go about it.

dvd2avi is about the easiest i've found, change from demux to decode and it will convert a 5.1 (not dts) signal to a wav file.

Then stil the wav file into nero creating an "audio" cd and off you go.

It only gets difficult if you want to make a 5.1 audio
