not enough RAM - 512 minimum, but I'd go a gig or more for long term projects.

I must add this disclaimer though: my "media center" pc has only 192 mb and a celeron 900mhz cpu Smile

Also, a lot of low cost "media center" pc's do not have a tv capture card in them. Really. I guess they are used for managing audio & pictures
