That info did'nt help... Here is where I am at... I tryed Beyond TV, and did like it. I would like to get GBpvr working, But I need a better Capture card. I would like to get a Hauppauge card.. But witch one will work best for me? I have StarChoice sat. (I'm in Canada) I run windows XP pro, 1.6g Mobo. and I have a 'Jeteye' dongle working with Girder to change channels (pritty impressive for $2.50), Remote wonder, 32meg Tvout video card. Are the issues solved with the win350 card (freezeing in live tv)? any input would be helpfull thanks!
If I did purchase the 350 card, would I be forced to use the TV out on it, or could I Have the choice to force to my tv out on my Video card? Only reason I ask is, I might want to use this card in a different setup in the future. the price difference between the 250 and 350 is only $10.

yes but the 150 is newer that the 250 and according to some, has a slightly better picture.
What about the 500, you get 2 tuners in one card - very useful once you start getting into scheduling lots of recordings.

I dont intend to use the Live TV too much.. I think it will most likly be mostly for recording and playing. So a dual card really is'nt worth it. besides. I can get the 150 cards (OEM) for $80cnd. so If I end up needing a second tuner....
Yeh, i think the 150 is the one to go for but my point about having 2 tuners was not about being able to watch live tv (i rarely do that on the pvr) but so that you can record 2 programmes at the same time (or when they overlap one another).

Sounds like a 150 would be a good start then... Considering cost. Thanks for the help.. the specs all look good on paper, but I guess real life testing is proof of quality and performance. If I had 2 or more cards installed and they were all recording something, How would that effect the cpu, and would the record quality suffer?
