I am sorry, this is too little info for me to look into this.
Can you provide something more?
Send me your comskip.ini file, which version of comskip do you use?
Set
verbose=10
in comskip.ini and send me the generated log file.
What kind of file do you try to process?
Comskip crashes on some digital recordings, the crash location is inside the mpeg decoder.
Comskip can not handle MPEG1 recordings.

I have a similar issue. Just had to rebuild my PVR box as the Windoze HD crashed, 3 days after my file server mother board, nonetheless. Good think my laptop held up or I would have felt really isolated.

Anywho, I had this all working before the crash with v79.48 (I think), but I thought I'd try 80.007.

Whenever I run comskip it gives me this error. Even from the command line with no parameters specified. No log file is created.

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc015002). Click on OK to terminate the application."

dotNet 2.0 and vcredist_x86 are installed. GBPVR works fine, but the I've got to manually skip the comercials for now. Any ideas?

Thanks,
-Brad

Just for grins I copied the 0.79.48 files into the GBPVR folder - runs fine. Must be something in 0.80.007.

How can you tell? The zip file I have has an exe in it dated 12/2/2006. I would presume that's the 2005? I didn't build my PVR system until late in 2005, and as I recall vcredist_x86.exe wasn't a requirement back then. Then again, I've been known to be wrong (just ask my wife).

Previously I used VC++ 6.0
Now I use either VC 2005 or 2008

Try to install this for 2005
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...laylang=en
or this for 2008
