Hey sub,

i know there has been quite a long Thread about this, but i'd like to start a fresh one as it didn't really discuss my problem, and also it's a bit different this time.

In the meantime i've upgraded to GBPVR 0.95.16.
I use Hauppauge-drivers ver .23348 for my PVR150.
OS is Win2K Server, DX 9.0c, .NET 1.1 at a recent patch level.

It is still the case that the PC-GBPVR client crashes as soon as i start teletext using CTRL-R.
But that's not my main problem.

If i try to launch teletext on the MVP i now get back to the main menu immediately, showing a dialog box saying "object reference not set to an instance of an object".
Also, the Recording service is crashed. (Probably causes above error?)

I used GraphEdit and could produce Teletext output using that.
I also tried to rebuild the Graph that is written in the logs, and that also seemed to start. But as this wasn't showing any output i tried replacing the "GB-PVR WST SRT Analog" Filter with "WST Decoder"+"Video Renderer", and i can see the window showing teletext fine.

I have attached the logs and hope you can see anything helpful for debugging, i would really like to get this teletext thing working, so i would greatly appreciate any help!

Many thanks in advance,
bolacha

I cant see anything obvious in those logs.

What country are you in?

Can you try generating the crash on your PC client, then repost the logs? I'll see if it contains anything more useful. You'll need to stop the MVP server first, otherwise the PC wont generate logs.

I cant tell exactly why it isnt working for you. From the look of an error in your logs, I think either I distributed an old version of the WST Analog filter, or you've got an old version on your machine from somewhere.

Not very many people here use Teletext, so I've not really had enough feedback to determine if this release has problems in this area or not. You're the only person that has mentioned it so far.

do you have any suggestion what i could do next?
Shall i post the WSTSRTAnalog.ax i have? (It's version 0.1.0.0, the file-version won't be usefull i think?)
Maybe i'll try WinXP when i've got a lot of time left.

Anyhow, thank you for your help so far!

It doesn't work either, seems to be the same file as delivered with 0.95.16.

In the meantime i tried setting up a fresh copy of Win2KServer with GBPVR 0.95.16 and original Hauppauge drivers, and i get the same results.
Whereas if i setup WinXP using the same software configuration it works flawlessly there. (Except for the need for re-registering WSTSRTAnalog.ax once)

Maybe that Teletext-issue is OS-dependent?

I cant think of anything XP specific, but I certainly dont test on Win2k, so its possible.

On a fresh install of Win2k, it might be worth installing directx9 to ensure recent versions of all the directshow components.
