Forum searching

How can I do a search in the forums?
Seems trivial but I cant locate it

otherwise same questions get asked over and over

Top right. Dark text but there's a 'Home', 'Search', 'Members' and 'Help' up there. Easily missed.

I had the same problem for a while, couldn't find it! Not where you would expect it.

Anyway, having found it, it does not seem to work very well (search, that is). I searched for 'VBR' before posting a question about it, and got only 1 hit. Now I just happened to see a post with 'VBR' in the title. Not sure why. I've used several forums, and administered one. I know that most forums have 'minimum search characters', blocked words ('the', 'and', etc) but I'm currently stumped why VBR only came up with one hit. It MAY not have matched "VBR" to "VBR/CBR" since that could be construed as a 'word' and thus, not a good match to only 'VBR'.

I recently helped someone migrate from an old forum program to phpBB, and the increase in features was noticeable.

Anyway, we can work with whatever we have!

When you do a search, make sure you select 'All Open Forums" and "from the beginning".

Searching for "VBR" returns half a dozen results for me.
