in the Wiki for the Enhanced web admin there is a point in the Todo list:

-Episode Search based on Zap2it Genre (only movies has been done so far)

i've installed the build 31 webadmin. how does one search for episodes with "movie" genre tags?

very strange. that is where i thought it *should* be. i have build 31 installed and i saw updates to various other sections of the web interface, but this check box is not there. i will try to reinstall the updated webadmin...

i tried deleting the web directory and reinstalling build 31 of webadmin. still no movies option on the search page?!? i dug through the web directory and found the reference for this checkbox in "search.aspx"

<TR runat="server" id="trMoviesOnly">
<TD align="right"><B>Search&nbsp;Only Movies:</B></TD>
<TD align="left">&nbsp; <INPUT type="checkbox" name="moviesOnly"></TD>
</TR>

so it is there, but it is not showing. almost like it is using an old version of this page. i'm sure it is not a client browser cache issue. any ideas as to why this page isn't showing up properly?

i am pretty sure that it is a zap2it only feature, so if your not using zap2it, it may not show up. If thats not it, post in the enhanced web admin thread to get an answer from the developers.

that was it. i bring in listings from an XMLTV data file which i fetch externally from zap2it. it contains the MV### tags but GBPVR must bring in this data differently than running the embedded zap2it tool.

thanks for the tips.

The limiting of searches to Movies isn't really based on a true genre identifier. When I had the request to add a way to only search movies I raised the flag that there is nothing in the Genre listings that could help narrow the scope to just movies.

Some people came back with an alternative identifier...the program identifier. For Movies it begins with "MV".

So the movie search is pulling its data from what is stored in teh program identifier withing the data in the GBPVR database.

I find this feature very handy, and use it a lot to search for movies. One request - on the results page, could the imdb link be added like the tv guide page?
