Anyone use these applications? If so, I'm having problems lately. It seems that both applications have recently begun to max out my paging file (which is system set at about 2700mb) and it throws my system into error. I'm wondering if anyone has known a fix for this?

I used to have 768 over 1536, but i was wondering if the memory was the culprit cause i get an programming error whenever it analyzes the files. my system is pretty clean from worms and stuff...

This may be related to a particular disk....? I have found that increasingly discs that I want to back up require ripping to HDD with DVD Fab Decrypter, then running the rip through shrink.

I don't use Nero Recode (I HATE the way Nero installs itself everywhere, changes file associations even when you explicitly tell it not to, etc), but is the problem with the same disc each time?

Might be worth checking out videohelp.com.

both programs giving the same error might have to do with the fact that the developer of dvdshrink went to Nero/Ahead to develope Nero Recode so both programs have a lot in common.
Just asking: are you sure it is the pagefile and not just lack of diskspace,
Did you change anything, new disk with fat32 instead of ntfs ( 2gig maxfilesize)????

I am not 100% sure it's memory related. I just don't know what else it could be. I have plenty of diskspace and I have not changed anything on the disk. These are self-authored DVDs, not ones ripped from a commercial DVD. I've been working around to shrinking the mpegs rather than authoring a dvd and shrinking it to size. Is usually fails when it reaches 100% in analyze mode in dvdshrink. I've tried several different files. It's more recent of a problem. No one else gets programming exception errors under dvd shrink?
