When adding features to Appearance Manager, my first priority is to provide feedback to the user.

It would benefit the end user if the skin designer could associate two sets of fonts with the two graphics layers in a skin (static & dynamic). When the end-user selects a skin effect, it's assocciated font set is incorporated. When a buttonset is selected, it's font set is added.

Programatically, I could pick up these font sets and incorporate them into a temporay BaseSkin. Then I would need a way to have the Appearance skin.xml use that temporary BaseSkin for user feedback. When the user saves their selections, the replacement BaseSkin.xml would be saved.

I could also use some other solution; the challange is definded above, but at this point it seems that any solution would require some new feature in GBPVR.

Best Regards,
David

Edited the original post for clarity.

The above solution would require a means for the AM plugin to present the temporary baseskin.xml to the Appearance.xml when rendering.
