Ohboy - how depressed I am. As far as I understand My ASUS TV 7134 is not supported by GBpvr, it's not supported by Meedio and I can't find any other program.

..all I have is the lousy Intervideo Theater program.

Does anyone have any suggestion on what I can possibly do - except change back to my buggy hauppauge 250 card - to make my world a bit brigther?

Erhm... Ty for the tip..
...96 pages... phew... Guess I won't set it up today
My big problem is that I have a fully functioning old computer with a hauppauge250 card (running GBpvr f'coz), but it needs a clean install to become fast enough again - and any new hauppauge drivers won't install/work.

Every time I try the card on another computer or try to install drivers, I end up putting it back in the old computer and being forced to go back to the old system (restore). ...So I'm terrifyed of cleaning that old, slooow machine.

So getting this crappy Asus/Philips TV 7134 (Pal analogue) card to work with some decent software is a pretty high priority.

What really surprises me is that all tv cards *still* seems to be pretty crappy, and perhaps worse - really, really old with really really old drivers. I've been in to HTPC's (and X10) - on and off - for 7 years now and I'm really amazed by that.

I have the pvr250 and it works absolutely fine, I've tested it in 2 pcs one with a via chipset and 1 with a nvidia chipset. I suggest you try some of the older drivers from shspvr.com
Picture quality is as good as any tv I have used, so I don't know why you are having so many issues.

The PVR 250 itself is great, that's the point! I'd like to use it on another computer, but I've only been sucessful with one single computer with one single set of really old drivers. So I don't dare to do *anything* with that computer to mess it up. Basically - the drivers really, really, really SUCK!

So I'd really like to get the other tv card to work, with the Philips 7134 chipset. It's obviously *very* common, but gbpvr doesn't support it, mediaportal doesn't support it, meedio doesn't support it. ...and intervideo home theater isn't exacly...fun.. I'm actually thinking of trying the #%&" MS Media Center.

...and btw, the newest drivers for the 7134 chipset seems to be from 2003!?

I'd ditch that card if I was you and get something modern like a PVR150 or ATI 550 Pro. You're wasting your time trying to use that sort of card in a PVR solution.

Don't know why you say that... The card works wonderful with the accompanying software, it's very common and the quality is good.

However... I finally got my very, very, very old Hauppauge 250 working on my semi-old computer (took me bloody 5 hours though), so I'm happy again. ...and btw - the Hauppauge doesn't provide better quality and is really, really slow when it comes to changing channels compared to the Asus card.

...but at least it works with my favourite software! Rolleyes
