I know there are game plug-ins but I haven't found nice unified gaming plug-in. Is there one or plans to add one?
I am think of Mame, NES, SNES and other emulators. Something configurable. There is already an external application launcher so a nice ui that listed all of the roms for emulatorX and when a rom is selected it appends the needed commandline options to that external application and launched into the game. MythTV has one sort of they have games section supporting Mame, NES, SNES and a couple others I think.

If there are no plans for this I may have found yet another project to work on.

have you tried the "My Programs" plugin, it works with every emulator that i know of, and can launch normal windows apps aswell.

In all honesty I just downloaded and installed the program yesterday. I haven't had much of a chance to play with every plug-in or even finish configuring it yet.

I think that might be just what I was looking for. I will give that a try.
