Here's an idea I just thought of. Please let me know if it already exists!
Since I am already using an STB to control my TV tuning, I can already use the EPG that is built into the STB. I don't need the EPG that is built into GBPVR. Whenever I change a channel in GBPVR, I get the EPG bar on the bottom from GBPVR and my STB. Make sense? I would like to turn off the EPG totally in GBPVR, and just use the EPG in my STB.
Is there any way I can train GBPVR or my Hauppauge IR Blaster to transmit the signals from my Comcast remote when I press the buttons on my Hauppauge remote? Just like a universal remote, you can train them to send the appropriate codes from your standard remote.
I hope this is making sense. There is no way to turn off the EPG in my STB, so I figure I might as well use it since it keeps popping up. I just would like to use my Hauppauge remote to control it.
Thanks!
