OK, here goes.

I recently had to uninstall/reinstall gbpvr. Now, when I do the EPG update weird things happen. Mainly, when I open the TV guide it is blank. Some channels show up, in non-numerical order, but no programs. If at this point I try to navigate within the TV Guide, I get the "Object not set . . ." error and gbpvr becomes nonfunctional (but not "Not Responding" in Task Manager).

The "Search Guide" function works perfectly, however, and I'm able to schedule and record shows from there with no problems. I've checked my computer's clock, and it is set to the correct time and date. Any ideas?

Thanks,
derek

Did you copy the gbpvr.mdb from a backup? If so, was it exactly the same version of GB-PVR?

No, I started from scratch and then imported my old recordings.

I've been using v0.95.16 since it came out, it's worked so well up until now that I haven't felt the need to upgrade.

Thanks,
Derek

I'm having a similar problem. I recently installed a PVR250 into my GB-PVR machine so I set the EPG up for the first time. Being in the UK I selected BLEB, set the channels I wanted to download, then clicked the 'Update' button. It opens the box, appears to be downloading the channel data for the various days, but the EPG is blank. This happens both on the GB-PVR machine and through my MVP.

This is under GB-PVR v0.96.12 with the patch applied.

This has been discussed a few times recently. The Bleb website is currently down (hardware fault I think). They hope to be up and running again later this week.

Ah, thanks. I hadn't noticed the other posts and assumed it must be working at their end as it seemed to be grabbing data from them but that would certainly explain it.

Keep up the great work! Smile

Hi Derek
I have the same problem after i have changed the channel-order in the config. Everything, but the tv guide, are working fine. I have started a new thread regarding this problem. I didn't experience this problem i 95.16 (I am on 96.12 now after upgrade). Is it possible that the gbpvr.mdb is corrupted? Did you change the channel-order? Are you using xml-tv for your EPG?

I use zap2it for EPG - probably should have mentioned that.

I guess I'll just blow it out again and reinstall. My wireless connection has been a bit dodgy lately, perhaps that messed up my initial channel download.

Thanks,
Derek

I think my epgupdate.bat messed up my guide. The computer hibernated before the xml-tv-download finished. I did an empty EPG, downloaded latest, update EPG and made sure that no channels had the same order number in the config. Now everything works fine....
