But isn't it spelled Calendar or is that one of those "Crazy real english spellings" that throw us Americans off? Rolleyes

Anyway, now I just have to figure out how to get to my google calendar or see it there is another process to do.

Also, when I click on Today, the date jumps to April 1st.

Edit: Ok, sorted out the google calendar bit and will be able to test out further. (File did not download with .ics extension)

My abilities to look like an idiot knows no bounds. The only thing that made me think otherwise is you spelled it differently in the wishlist thread.

I found my problem with the google file. Will test later, gotta run.

had a quick play with this tonight and it looks good :-)

I downloaded a calender from icalshare and it displayed it with no problems. then added a ical of my own and it wouldnt display it - i'll post the errors from the logs tomorrow (well, later today...) although it may welll be down to the file and not the plugin as ive been using it in various other calender apps recently. will play around with it more tomorrow:-)

If the calender isnt too personal I wouldnt mind a copy (or a subsection) to test on. I've based the iCalender parser on 3 ics files I got from iCalShare.com and scanning through this 100 page (!) document.

Hi, can you send me your source code or what not? I am new to developing plugins and I want my first plugin test to be with a calendar. I saw you were already developing one, so I thought I would ask if I could see how you were doing it. I dont know what the protocol is for asking for something like this. I am someone who learns by doing and picking apart code is a lot easier to me than trying to read articles. Does this make sense? Thanks.

Hey,

Thanks a lot! Big Grin

Here is what I am thinking about doing. Maybe we can help each other?

I am thinking of creating a PIM plugin that allows you to check email and read email, view your calendar, sync your contacts, and chat through AIM/MSN/Yahoo/Google Talk/etc. I am trying to get in touch with Google or at least make suggestions for them to give accses to gmail contacts like they have with their calendar. This way your contacts are not stored in two places. I know this is the bane of my existence. I have contacts in my phone, Outlook, gmail, and now for my HTPC! Of course none of them are the same or synced in any way shape or form. If only there were an open format for syncing them and was actually used by email providers...
