Wrong time length

Hi Has anyone else had any issues with some recordings having the wrong time length? For example I record a 1 hour show and when I go to play it back the time says only like 23 minutes. It is always shorter than the lenth of the show, but if I playback the show it works fine, except when I try to skip, it jumps much too far compared to the time selected.

If I playback the file in Media Player or Media Player Classic it works fine and has the correct time length.

By the way, I'm using Windows 2000 with the newest version of GBPVR.

Are you using a PVR150?

hmm ok, I read about the timestamp issue but thought it was for recording at the wrong time as opposed to wrong time length.

I guess I'll give the new drivers a try, will they be included on the next release of GBPVR?

No, it would result in the duration being reported incorrectly, and problems skipping or fastforwarding.

No, I dont include drivers with GB-PVR. You have to install them independently of GB-PVR.

I've had a timebase problem for the first time today, watching a recording from last night around 0200. 40 minute program shows as 2 minutes and a bit. ff/skip erratic and if I just leave it to watch, it bounces back to the menu after a minute.
The only thing different here was that I was downloading a set of linux CD's and the network might have been busy.

I also found that to happen as well. It would seem that if I'm using the PC for other things, or watching one program while another is recording would cause the timestamp issue to occur more often. In fact if I'm watching one show while recording another, it would almost always happen that the show recording would have the wrong timestamp.

Just curious though, why when I playback the same file in Media Player or MCP, that it does have the correct time?

I dont know, but ignoring this, the rest of your problem description certainly sounds like this PVR150 driver bug thats mentioned all the time.

When I playback with Zplayer, it reports the short length, but does play it.
I thought the 150 timeline bug was more a problem with NTSC?, I'm running PAL.
Ah well, it's the first occurance in a long while, so I hope it's a one-off.
