hey all...need some help..i need a copy of win32 port of Dvdauthor ver 5.4..
the newest one is 6.11 but it doesn't work! they seem to have messed up the menu creation from the command line in the post 6.x versions but the older version seemed to work fine..i have an old 5.3 version but they fixed some things after that so wanted the next working one, which seems to be 5.4 ..
so if anyone knows where i might find it i'd be ever so greatfull..
i'm making a dvd-burning plugin for the transcode button that creates a nice menued dvd by picking shows for transcode...Big Grin[dvd menus from command line!]
right now i'm using mixed versions but would like to have a good stable one for release..
or if anyone knows a commadn line menu creator that would be great too Smile

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles...e_id=55012
you just have to click "show all files" (or whatever its called)

yea,but those aren't win32 compiles Big Grin [just source]
not sure if there's anything special you have to do to compile but seems like a lot of work...the one i have seems to work fine except for the post commands on the title adds..[newer version i believe adds comands]
so rather than setup a cross compile setup just for that i'd stick to my dual versions they seem to work fine so far..[functions are sorta unrelated, the menus/titles]
if i can figure out how to get the subtitles into the mpeg with ffmpeg i won't need spumux anymore either Smile
[so that would mean all extra jpeg-tools programs replaced with ffmpeg! Smile]
so basically just dvdauthor and gm..[or whatever you want to use to make backgrounds]
motion menus are even possible, with avs scripts
just remembered a way to insert show info from command-line too..lol gonna be cool..a workhorse of a batch file...hehe

if you know anyone that could compile one of those old versions tht would be great...if not i'll stick with what i have..it works...
also i found insnav1.exe and insnav4.exe....little proggs that *just* insert necessary vobu's and are pipable both ways..Smile [very fast]
so far no real improvemnts on compression..either it looks worse than ffmpeg or takes much longer...use "-me zero" to speed things up a bit..but the other switches i mentioned didn't seem to improve speed any...
mencoder can be configged to be blazing...60fps...[2xrealtime] but at a decent quality loss...you'd have to try to see if acceptable..
hank's encoder has best quality at decent speeds..beautifull at any bitrate...but only 26fps normally..[and avs input only]
let me know what you think..
