Plugin Helper GetSkinRootDirectory()

GBPVR.Public.PluginHelperFactory.getPluginHelper().GetSkinRootDirectory() returns: "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\.\skin\Blue\"
What's with the ".\" between "gbpvr" and "skin"?

Dot (or .) means 'this' folder. Dot dot (..) means 'parent' folder. It's DOS-speak. It probably shouldn't happen that way but the filesystem should parse (for example) C:\xyz\.\wibble\myfile.ext as C:\xyz\wibble\myfile.ext.
Look at the screenshot and see the path I passed to the DOS cd command and where I end up. Sweet isn't it?  Of course, it only works if you're passing the string through file system handlers. A bit of a PITA if you're parsing the string yourself. Cheers, Brian |
