Hi

what is the easiest way to make MP3-file from recorded MPG file - i.e.

I have recorded a concert and I want to have the sound as an MP3 file
Using DELL P4 1.5GB RAM 250 GB HD + DLINK DNS313 netdisk 1,5TB, 2 pieces of Hauppauge PVR150 w/45-button remote, 1 Popcorn Hour 110. Win XP SP3. GB-PVR v1.4.7 Plugins: Xrecord

Hmmm, maybe try dvd2avi (http://www.divx-digest.com/software/dvd2avi.html) that should be able to do it. There are probably others as well.

I've got it, I knew I had it somwhere because I had done it before.
It's called Gui4ffmpeg, I used it for converting avi to mpeg2 for the mvp.
Download it here: http://www.videohelp.com/download/gui4ffmpeg13.zip
No demuxing or whatever, all in one go
You could do it with ffmeg if you know the right options.

Important: if you want to save as mp3, make sure you select mp4 for video first and then deselect processing video, otherwise it will keep wanting to save as ac3. Works great. Good luck

Just to add: In the gui4ffmeg window you can see very nicely what commandline-options it uses.
