PVR with VIVO

Hi there
Will this PVR software work with the gigabyte range on video cards that support VIVO, that is adapters that can input AV video from TV and CAMcorders. The adapter in particular is the GV-NX66T128VP-SP. Cheers Cliff:

Your card is basically an NVIDIA GeForce 6600GT video card. It's dual display, which means you'll be able to see GB-PVR on your monitor and or your TV.
But it does not appear to be an input card. Whcih means with this card alone, you would not be able to record new video. You will either need a video capture card and an external tuner, or something that's combined, like a Hauppauge PVR15o/250... In other words, PVR software requires a video card (of course) and a capture card. Sometimes you can find a card that does both (PVR350) but it seems to be the general opinion that having separate cards is better than an all in one...
