Hey I was wondering if anyone outh there has used Adaptec's Dual TV Tuner for Windows XP MCE 2005 with gbpvr.

Anyone know anything about using this with anything other than MCE?

http://www.adaptec.com/en-US/products/vi.../AVC-3610/

Thanks,
Zach

I have one. Can't get GBpvr to "see" both tuners. Sees 1 tuner as a "Vide Oh"
which is Adaptecs single tuner USB (I think).
Works just fine with BeyondTV; both tuners are seen there.
Am currently in search of a way to see both in GBpvr (thats how I found this Post.)
Am running XP-pro (not MCE).

I dont have any direct experience with this device myself, but another user had indicated it worked for him: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ht=adaptec

According to his comments you should have to set up two capture sources, both set as Adaptec VideOh devices, one as device #1, the other as device #2.

I have it up and running the other post should explain how but if you need any further assistance feel free to pm me for more instructions....

P.S. You can add avc-3610 to the direct.ini file and it will show that as your capture source in config. just add these lines:

[Adaptec AVC-3610]
INIT_MODE=DEFAULT
INIT_MSP=0
FILTER_CROSSBAR=Adaptec USB Crossbar
FILTER_CAPTURE=Adaptec USB Capture Device
FILTER_TV_TUNER=Adaptec USB TvTuner
FILTER_TV_AUDIO=Adaptec USB TvAudio
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_TUNER_IN=Video Tuner In
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_VIDEO_OUT=Analog Video
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_AUDIO_OUT=Analog Audio
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_IN=TVAudio In
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_OUT=TVAudio Out
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_TUNER_IN=Audio Tuner In
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_DECODER_OUT=Video Decoder Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_VIDEO_IN=Analog Video In
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_DECODER_OUT=Audio Decoder Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_AUDIO_IN=Analog Audio In
PIN_CAPTURE_CAPTURE_OUT=Capture
PIN_WRITER_INPUT_IN=Input

I have placed your entries into my direct.ini file and both tuners are working. However when recording I use Low quality and the settings are not being used. Low quality should be 352/480, video bitrate of 2000 and I have set the audio to 192. I am however getting 720/480, video bitrate of 9000 and audio of 384. Do you know if you are having this same problem with yours.

It'll most likely only be able to set the video bitrate, not the audio bitrate or the resolution - these will stay as the defaults.

It doesn't make any adjustments. I can open GraphEdit and set the resolution and video/audio bitrates that way but they do not seem to stick if I reboot.

This is a likely sign that Adaptec used their own proprietary mechanism for bitrate control, instead of implementing the standard. If you post the GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log for a recording, I should be able to confirm this.

If this is the case, then there isnt really anything I can do about it - I dont have one of these devices, and I dont have any contacts at Adaptec for info.
