I have an older hard drive(6 gb) I want to stick in the comp I'm using with GBPVR to hold roms and maybe some music if i can squeeze it on there. But when I open up my computer it doesnt show up; right now its setup as a secondary slave. I had had it as a primary slave but then that caused my system to not boot up.
Thanks for any help in advance.(I'll get good enough soon to start offering some help myself)

What is it not recognized in?
-Is it just missing in My computer, or Disk manager as well?

If it its just missing in My computer, the drive probably isnt formatted, in which case you should go into disk manager in windows and the drive should be listed as unallocated space. From there you can format and partition it.

If by disk manager you mean Control Panel>Performance and Maintence> Admin Tools>Computer Management>Storage>Disk Management then its not showing up.

I tried checking the BIOS and doing auto-detect it didn't find the drive but if u listen to the drive it seems to be spinning.
Thanks for the advice though.

IF the BIOS can't see it then Windows won't either. What have you got as the Secondary Master? CD-ROM? You could always try jumpering the HDD to be a Master and connecting it to the Secondary IDE interface on its own. If the BIOS still doesn't see it then you've got problems.

Cheers,

Yea it looks like I'm going to have to look into just getting another hard drive you can pick them fairly cheap these days from what I've seen, so it shouldn't be to big of a deal.
