PriorityRecordings in non-c: install

Hi,

I installed GB-PVR in PC's I:

There seems to be problem updating the EPG (if I use the Update EPG from the tray icon).

I changed PriorityRecordings.xml file to point to the folder&drive where GBPVR is installed, but I still got the error.

Anyone can help?
I attached the screen capture on the error.

I edited to the title to include "PriorityRecordings" otherwise the author may not read this.

A forum search on PriorityRecording, error will reveal that you are not alone.

PriorityRecording will not work until it is recompiled for .Net 2.0. This was not done when XRecord was recompiled to .Net 2.0.

Sorry, out of luck for now. Just REM out the line in the bat file for now.

Does this mean I have to go into config and use the "Update EPG" to get my new schedule into GB-PVR?

BTW, author of PriorityRecordings, when will the new version be out?

1. Find PostUpdateEPG.bat in C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr, right click, edit
2. put rem before the line "PriorityRecording.exe > recording.log" (or delete it entirely)

this will ensure it is NOT run automagically every time the EPG is updated (and throw up that error).

A forum search on the words PriorityRecording and error will help you see what the story is behind this and the current solutions.

No, he is just saying comment out this PriorityRecordings.exe command in your PostUpdateEPG.bat file. You EPG updates will still work fine, just whatever PriorityRecordings does will not happen.

No, EPG updates will still happen as per normal. (automatically overnight, or from the System screen, or from the config app).

PriorityRecordings just does some shuffling around of recordings which is in not required. The vast majority of GB-PVR users do not have this utility installed on their machines.
