I personally would enjoy to see a roadmap of future updates to gbpvr. I'm mostly just curious as to what your going to do when you release version 1.0. Are you planning a big thing? What are some major things yet for you do integrate/update/fix in GBPVR yet? When can we expect 1.0?

I'd like to know a little where GBPVR is going.

Although judging by most of your post sub, your pretty secrative, so I'm guessing not much will be revealed...Thats why this I posted in Wishlist!

I'm curious sub, are you planing to take GBPVR commercial at some point? I suppose that may depend on the amount of donations you receive. But obviously you have put many many hours into this project between coding, debugging and support...

No, I have no plans to change the current arrangement.

I suspect that the biggest "danger" of GBPVR going commercial would be the result of a buy out. Eventually, some company with some $ is going to make Sub an offer he simply cannot refuse. That could be good, but it would likely be bad for the current users of GBPVR, as we now get a lot of personal attention from Sub that we likely would not get from a large corporation. Maybe they'd keep Sub on the payroll and he could provide his direct corporate email address to the original GBPVR users... Wink

GBPVR system info intentionally left blank because I'm personally
insulted that you can't remember it from previous signatures.

If I were in charge of Hauppauge, that's exactly what I would do.

I'd keep Sub on as design lead and have him head up the software division . . .

Then Hauppauge products would be backed by truly elegant software.

I've come to the conclusion that the people who think so much of GB-PVR and it's 'style' must be a minority as I have spent many words of encouragement with the developers of 'Computer Monitor only style' software only to be told just that.

No, I'm certain he meant Hauppauge since they seem to be the only hardware manufacturer that actually supports sub's efforts to get the most out of their products.

I've been using gbpvr for 2 weeks now and I had the thought that sub might be made an offer.. Never come across any freeware like it! So I guess I've got to wish it never happens Smile

Or for at least understanding that the software they provide is shite! If it weren't for GBPVR, I'd pretty much be forced to spend money on software to make the card usable. Their software looks like it was developed in 1996 and hasn't been upgraded since.

I notice though that the "third party software" section of the support pages only link to Sage and Beyond, not GBPVR.
