It will search your harddrive (from given parent folder) for movie files (avi, divx, mov, mpg, mpeg) and add it to a list. You can then check/uncheck the movies you want a avisynth script build for (batch created).
You can load/save different template files for different settings and movies. It will generate the script accordingly.

Tipstir may not be aware that GB-PVR can play .avs files on the MVP. The files are use to specify transformations to another video file. For example, you may want to add black bars to the side of an AVI during playback, or adjust its colours etc.

Aha wright, you can view his question that way too :o

I love aviSynth (.avs)! I used to use ffwd but that caused a lot of out audio of sync problems and instability for me... but AviSynth solved all that...
The fact that you can change de fps of a movie in runtime is really great! Never have to convert movies upfront again! Just write a .avs script... (or batch create Wink )

And yes! The wonderfull program op GBPVR can play it all directly on my TV through the MVP Wink

You must download and install AviSynth first... the program above will just batch create AviSynth scripts for you from a given template (two example scripts included in ABatchScript).

Play the .avs through your MVP!

(Don't forget to add the .avs extension to you video playing plugin configuration in MVP Wink)

Good luck!

tipstir Wrote:I've tired to install this program before seeing your post stevenca, I got an error saying something was already using the *.dll and then it gave me out of memory error. This crashed my video production PC that has all the AVI, Divx, Xvid media on it. Would this AviSynth help or it has nothing to do with the installation of this batch scripter?

The installation of AvinSynth failed? Or the installation of the Batch Scripter?
If it is the Batch Scripter, can you post the exact error message?

v0.3.0
- you can now let the scripts build in the same folder as your clip or into all in a specific selected .avs folder
- added script extensions, you can now choose for batch generating e.a. AVS, BAT, CMD, JOBS (extendable)
- when opening the 'folder' dialog, it now opens in a previously selected directory
- added a menu on the top of the screen
- added logical tab index
- added extension .mkv .ogm .mp4 .m1v and .m2v to extension in the settings.ini file
- added a logo to about screen
- moved settings to a collapsable settings frame to create more room
- added functionality to choose more then one scanfolder

Executable only version is there also!

- Smaller/better installfile will be there SOON

I've been trying this but without success.
Stevenca do you use your default template to watch avi's through the mvp. If so, does GBPVR still use ffmpeg to transcode, or should I disable that???
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,
Fritz!box 7140 modem/router, GBPVR 1.3.7.

Well the default works for me with GBPVR... but it is just a simple example.
I do not expect it to work for everybody. What does the MVP or GBPVR do? Can you be more specific, maybe then I can help you...
I have ffmpeg disabled by the way.
