When my MVP is plugged in the red light on the front of the unit is always on. The remote with brand new batteries will not turn the MVP off.

Also, the MVP now will not load GBPVR, it continually is looking for DHCP server and MVP boot server.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Sounds like it might be a bit hot... have you tried pulling the plug out of the back, waited 30 secs, plugging it back in again? If it's a rev. D3 (not D3A), the capacitor might be in backwards....

You shouldnt be able to turn it off with the remote during this activity.

If you're able test it, I could post a patch in which the TFTP server is more reliable on networks that lose a lot of UDP packets.

I am experiencing the exact same problem with my MVP (D3A?), as I mentioned in another post (I just noticed this post).

When I look at my router IP assignments the MVP and its MAC are NOT listed so the device does not appear to be successfully getting an IP from my router for some reason. My MVP was working fine with the earlier version(s) of GBPVR and my LAN has not changed.

Sub if you have a patch to test I would be more than happy to test for you. I am currently testing previous dongle versions but so far no luck with any of those...

My problem was fixed by using a new dongle for the MVP (Dongle_25_24023B) from Jksmurf.

Check out this tread:

Jksmurf will PM you a dongle if you ask.

Hoprfully this helps.
