Sometimes I get duplicate data within my tv guide file. For example:
You can see that the same show is listed twice. This presents the tv guide within GBPVR with a bit of a problem: it actually draws the show twice in the same spot. The problem worsens when there is two shows apparently on at the same time on the same channel (due to bogus data) that have different names. The screen draws the data over the top of each other, leaving you with an unreadable mess. Stepping through the shows with the remote or the keyboard actually steps to itself, and you can manage to record a show that you then can't click on again, because another show's name is drawn over the top, preventing you from clicking on the cell.
I've attached an example xml file if anyone's interested in seeing this for themselves.
My wish is that the EPG Update could have some rules such as "Use first/last show in timeslot", so that even if the source data was a bit mucked up, it would try to get over it and not have shows on top of each other.
Of course, my solution at the moment will be to fix the xml file and the downloader.
Code:
<programme start="20060810213000 +1000" stop="20060810223000 +1000" channel="free.NSWReg.PrimN">
