As i has read this, i thought i am dreaming:
http://www.virtualdub.org/blog/pivot/ent...d=124#body

This can't be true... i am so ashamed about the people in my country. All the bad things that happened in the last 3 years...

And the bad side: These "lawyer" earns MUCH money with something like this in germany...

It's a shame... such a shame...

Ain't that the truth. One of the worst examples I ever heard of was when I was in college and my economics teachers told us the school has to leave the lights on in the hallways at night just in case someone breaks in. If they break in and it's dark and then trip and hurt themselves, they can sue the school and win. So the school has to pay the electric bill to keep the lights on at night, to actually help a burgler! Dumbest thing I have ever heard of.

What do/think the american population about this? Why don't they do anything against this? I can't believe, that anyone finds this "correct".

Here in germany are since the last 3 years so many stupid things running, only with the thoughts of earning money.

People have to pay, if the offer any copyrighte upload (just remember: the same people who wants money, SPREAD these material over ED2K Network!!!)

Zuxxez, Logistep AG, Electronic Arts and many, many more do it this way... many of us are angry. We shall pay here, pay there, and there and there... and from the 1th. January 2007 we have to pay a TAX for INTERNET-USAGE in Germany !!!

THIS IS CRAZY !!!

Didn't someboby here in the US copyright the phrase "Year 2000" which caused all the news media to have refer to the this as "y2k" instead?

I guess there will always be people (crooks) trying to exploit the system.

Wasn't there a comparable situation with the Explorer from Microsoft? I mean to remember something like this.

So american people has similary problems like the german people..., that's not good. We should do same like the french people. The stand up for their rights.

I mean... how far shall this go in the future? If you sing "Happy Birthday" in the public... you shall gonna go into jail?

Really, i don't like the way we're all going...

EDIT: Just imagine, someone in germany would register the Brand "GB-PVR" for himself...

Bread and Circuses, I'm afraid. Try explaining - DMCA, DRM, the PATRIOT act, Diebold voting machines, copyright extensions ("Infinity minus one day" as the head of the MPAA put it), FISA courts, use of DE in Iraq, and on and on and on - to someone and they'll look at you as if you are either lying, or a nutter.

Meanwhile, let's get back to important stuff - American Idol, Barry Bonds' steriod use, and the confessions of a guy in Thailand...

Maybe you should copyright "GBpvr". Wink

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
