AVerTV Purity 3D MCE 250

I just read a review of this brand new Tv Tuner card and it definitely caught my attention. I emailed Avermedia tech support to ask about WinXP support and the answer was: "The driver also supports windows XP, but you will need to purchase Sage TV application for PVR functions."

Does anyone know if this card will work with GBPVR?
Does anyone have this card already?

acording to the manual off the website there are XP drivers & it runs on xp media center 2005.
The AVerTV Purity 3D MCE 500 TV is a dual tuner at newegg.com for $135
If it works with MCE I think it should work with GBPVR.

Okay, I purchased this card (btw, the price just dropped to $60) and I installed it last night. I downloaded GBPVR this morning and obviously this card is not listed in the support card list when I attempt configuration. What is my best option? Should I choose another Avermedia card?

I don't know how important this is in how anyone responds to me, but this card uses a different hardware encoding chip:

"NEC μPD61153 Based Designs
This is a little used chip from NEC. The μPD61153 is a complete package: it does the analog to digital conversion, noise filtering, and hardware MPEG2 encoding all in one, much like ATI's Theater 550 Pro. The μPD61153 offers dual 10-bit ADCs, 3D comb filtering and noise reduction.

To date only vendor has chosen to utlilize this chip: AVerMedia, in their AVerTV Purity 3D MCE 250 (also known as the M187 in OEM form)."

I'm not sure this card will work with GB-PVR. Since it works with MCE, there is a good chance it'll work.

At the very least, it would need a new section added to the direct.ini file, listing the corrent filter and pin names for this card. The names can be found using either GraphEdit, or the FilterCheck utility from here: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=6...stcount=33

I'm hoping you are willing to help me with creating a direct.ini section for this card, because I'm not entirely sure what to type for the pin names.

First off, I purchased two cards and installed both last night: one card is the ATI Theater 550 PRO TV Tuner, PCI Express (purchased from PC Alchemy) and the second card is the AVerTV Purity 3D MCE 250, PCI (purchased from Avermedia).

As you suggested, I downloaded and used FilterCheck. Below is a copy of the log:
