This question goes to all plugin-programmer. I want to request a new Newsfeed-Plugin which could replace the old one.
After some test i could find out, that the old newsreader isn't really usable for gb-pvr in it's latest version. Why?
The original newsfeed plugin produces a LOT of Pagingerrors while using the Livetickerfunction.
Not only that, if i run GB-PVR with my WiP Skin without Ticker, the CPU Usage is at mainmenu at ~4 % on an AMD XP 2.500+
But while using the Newsticker the CPU Usage goes up to 100%; a lot too much for such a simple plugin; settings are default and only ONE RSS-Source choosed.
So i hope that someone is interested to write a new plugin, based on .NET 2.0, otherwise i have to remove the newsreader-function from my skin; a cpu usage of 100% within mainmenu isn't acceptable in any way for a MediaCenter or HTPC.
