My eyes are getting to that 'need glasses' stage. My brain is still at that 'Don't need glasses' stage.

The MVP, on the 27 inch TV, shows quite a good Video picture, but the fonts used by almost every screen are a little fuzzy. Thought it was me, but my wife confirms it.

When I watch PVR on my Computer, the fonts are shabby too, mostly on OSD stuff, but I never got around to asking anyone about that...

But with the MVP, I'm really wanting something with a larger font.

I've tried out Tipster's skins. The fonts are even smaller than Default Blue...

I know that with lareger fonts, means less info can be on a screen at a time...

I've tried editing some of the skin.xml in the default Blue skin. I just wondered if someone has already solved this problem...

I've done one thats a variation on on BlueMCE2 that has a darker background, and the fonts are really big. Designed for my MVP on the 14" screen!!! From about 5 meters.

Which one is that?

I'm definitely a fan of the Fat Blue - High Vis (see Fatman_do's link above) due to age/poor eyes/small screen. I'm running v0.97.13 and haven't upgraded to 98.x so I don't know if Fat Blue is compliant with the latest release from Sub. Anyone know if Fat Blue has been checked out with the 98.x release?

It's just a personal one where I've gone through and manually changed a lot of the font sizes.

I think once some of these community skins where the baseSkin.xml file is used more than making a skin like this wont be so painful. This one took me hours to do.

I could post it to you, cos I'd rather not release it, then I'd have to support it...

I'd appreciate that. As a long time user of Flat-blue Hi-vis on my 27" Trinitron, I could use a new look. Thanks! Smile

I don't know about that tipstr, a 14" screen from 5m (what's that about 15 feet??) using a 12-14 pt font is pretty small. Most of my ones are around 16/17

Spartan, pm me an address and I'll send it. I think it's around 5 mb... I just added the MVP TV inset to it yesterday, and the Video Library (subs one) probably needs the font sizes changed they're still pretty small.

I agree, with psycik. My setup is pretty good, but my 27 inch TV is old enough that the tiny default fomts from the MVP is really hard on the eyes...

Tipster, I know YOU know that GB-PVR has no direct control of the MVP's Sharpeness and Colour... (I've seen you on the other threads Big Grin )

So which specific settings in config.xml and config.exe are you talking about?
