A few months ago I had some problems with with a Hauppauge card - ultimately I couldn't get it to work and gave up.

So now I've decided try again and bought a new card for GBPVR (a Terratec Cingergy 1200 DVB-S).

Unfortunately the problem remains: some recordings work and some don't :-(

I've attached the logs where the recording failed in all three cases.

When a recording does not work a small 2kb mpg file is produced (always with the same contents) - I've attached one.

I've also noticed that a 0byte file is created in the c:\Program Files...\GBPVR folder with the name of the recording (not always though).

Has anyone seen this before? How can I possibly fix this?

Thanks for any help!

PS: is http://www.gbpvr.com down? I wanted to check for a new version but I only get timeouts....

there was a patch in the 97.13 survival guide that fixed a problem similar to this (6k) files. I thought it was for dvb-t users but it might be applicable in your case.

only thing is, the guide no longer appears to be around.

Might be worth upgrading to 98.x?
