Is there any way to permanently set the priority of gb pvr to realtime without having to go thru the task manager?

I dont recommend adjust the priority of any of the GB-PVR processes. From past experience it just leads to problems. That said, there are two settings in the config.xml file:

<ForceHighPriorityRecordingService>false</ForceHighPriorityRecordingService>
<ForceHighPriorityClient>false</ForceHighPriorityClient>

Perfect, setting the client to realtime keeps browser windows from disrupting the sound and virus scanners from causing choppy playback.
