I managed to get this set up after using MceIrApi to capture the remote codes (although the power immited by the ir blaster led's seems less than when was using media centre as the led's need to be right on top of the digi eye for the skype box).

Is their a way to always add a command to the begining of the blaster sequence before the 3 digit channel no? It's just my wife tends to set the set top box in standby when she leaves it, so I would like to send a resume from standby command before every channel change?

Conversly is it possible to send a command at the end of a recording to set the settop box into standby mode?

Kindest regards

Mike

No there isnt, you'd need to use HIP or Girder if you needed to do this type of extra stuff.

I would like to add a "me too" to this request. I'm sure it is possible in the config.exe "channel changer" configuration, I just don't know how to format the parameter string.

Right now all I've got there is '{channel}' and the channel changes work OK. I need to prepend and append additional command sequences like mikechambers.

I'm using HIP and HIPSend in between GB-PVR and my Hauppauge MCE remote kit, but I believe mikechambers and my requests are the same.

Note: I know how to program the right keys into HIP, I just don't know how to get GB-PVR to send the correct key sequences via HIPSend.

You'd need to do this at the HIP/HIPSend end rather than me changing anything in GB-PVR.

GB-PVR calling HIPSend and passing only {channel} will be fine, since its the only thing that changes with each channel change, and custom stuff pre/post pended can be done at the HIP end.

Sorry Sub, I wasn't requesting anything new in GB-PVR, I just wondered if the current .exe changer parameter line could pass anything other than '{channel}' .

The HIPSend command line is uber-simple and there isn't much to it, but I have mapped "P" to the Power button and verified that it works from within Hip. I guess I need to learn more about prepend/append from within Hip.

Sometimes settops like to put themselves into standby modes after a certain amount of inactivity. In those cases it would be useful to prepend channel changes with some sort of wakeup command.
